even though this " free " sounded a bit funny n all dat mate to be honest , i think it would be cool if we could have a topic with some quality production tips & stuff...
for the starters...
I spent fuckin ages on the drums, choosing the right samples to layer . Nice tip for the right kick by Far Too Loud. There is a plugin called " Bazzism " by IZM . It basically creates a bd from the sine wave .
In their words : I'll generate a kick at the correct frequency such that it is in key with the tune and then load it into battery and put a low pass filter on it so it is just sub. Then I'll mix one or more other kick drums with it and filter out the sub frequencies from them.
Now I've tested it & it sounds really wicked .

o yeah & off the record...
does your nuendo have an internal sidechaining/ routing possibilities ? or do you have to crate a quatro group & route signal manually like in cb sx...i find it very annoying in my sx 3 & thats one of the reasons i think i'm gonna switch to Logic or Protools.I've heard the've sorted it out in 4 but still its a bit buggy n all
I had a lot of problems with some of which are still unsolved, but layering and filtering different kicks snares hats etc makes them sound damn fuckin' good
I have a general mix problem - i can't get it to sound full and loud - if it sounds loud, it doesn't fill the spectrum if it fills the spectrum than it's too quiet - maybe you guys can come up with some general mix tips, that would be great.

Spróbuj skupić uwagę na beatach i basie bo to w breakbeacie jest najważniejsze. Jeżeli będą dobrze ze sobą chodziły i miały odpowiednią moc to masz już połowę sukcesu imo. Druga sprawa Hipassuj wszystko co nie potrzebuje bassu w sobie. Nawet jeżeli nie słychać, że coś ma bas to te częstotliwości tam są i zamulają mix. Staraj się używać dźwięków/ sampli które same w sobie brzmią zajebiście i współgrają ze sobą. W róznych " częściach " aranżu staraj się nie używać wielu instrumentów / sampli które chodzą na podobnej częstotliwośći, pamiętaj o zdrowym bilansie. Layeruj dźwięki ze sobą, żeby brzmiały tłusto ale pamiętaj,żeby odseparować je filterm/eq . Pamiętaj, żeby niezlimitowany mix nigdy nie przekraczał 0 dB . Zgrywaj do Wav i później ditheruj do 16 bit mp3

Yo yo yeah nuendo is a lot more flexable for the sidechaing as its a media production package and can be used for specific media as in .. you can edit video in certain versions and it always seems more stable in my opinion
Fitering the drums together can create more of a wider spectrum to the sound without layering multiple fx on a track which can sometimes kill the vibe of it if you go too far you know?
I would recomend not using compressors all through the tracks to make it sound louder but get your mix flat and just pan the channels to widen the sound and maybe use a progrsam like T-Racks to do some final mastering to the whole track this seems to work for me and always sounds amazing in the car, room or the club..
hope any of this helps and im going to try that Plug in that was mentioned as far too loud have got some good ideas for the layering

but does it have internal sidechain option? its very usefull while using it in more creative way than pumping effect. Esp when you ve got 30 tracks to rute through...
agreed bout filexibilty, but seriously i won't need options like video editing & surround cappablities for now matey. The price tag does look scarey though due to video editing option hehe

sorry no breaks releses out as yet Im still in the mist of mastering them but would be happy to send u some if your intersted to remix or give thoughts and no there is no sidechain I thought there was but on reflection Nuendo 3 doesnt have maybe the newer versuion does but the price is too much for me just now you know!!
